The Moon in 2023

Updated: Jan 1, 2023

The year 2023 is quite divergent from other years.

Over the past twenty years that I have been tracking the Moon using my special calendar method, I have never seen something like this before - A year with a feral Moon.

A feral position occurs when the moon enters a sign and there is no contact /aspect with any of the planets during the transition through that sign. The feral position of the Moon will occur in October this year in Aries.

I do not use the modern planets, i.e. Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. Depending on their placements a lot of the Void of Course timings would need to be corrected. You will find the calculations I make divert from ephemerides and most software. Unless you set your own astrological software to medieval settings, then there will still be adjustments needed.

What I see for 2023 is a whole new sequence of events, many of the Void of Course timings start in the early degrees of signs.

This astrological happening is quite remarkable. Once the moon leaves Aries and her feral state, there will be a partial lunar eclipse during the Taurus full moon.

November 2023 has another Void of Course Moon that is unusual. When she enters Libra she will be Void after two and half hours in that sign already making the last aspect.

I had to make a lot of manual adjustments for this year because the modern planets are mostly in the later degrees of the signs they are apparently in.

I would suggest for this coming year to dig deep in ones psyche, do self reflection, dare to change on an inner level, and come clean with unauthentic behaviors. Instead of showing off who you're not, find yourself, and make space for meaningful aspects in your life.

The monthly Void of Course will be here for free, appearing in the beginning of each month.

When you sign up for the news letter you will get them sent each month in your mailbox.

Thank you so much
